At Mark Williams Auto Group, we understand the power of community and the difference that collective action can make in times of crisis. The Kindness Project 2024 is proof of how local businesses, organizations, and individuals can come together to support those in need. In partnership with EmPath For Autism, we initiated a disaster relief drive to aid those impacted by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, and the outpouring of support we received was truly remarkable.
Rallying for Relief: Collecting Donations for North Carolina
Our goal was simple: gather essential supplies to help those devastated by Hurricane Helene, particularly in Hendersonville, NC, where families were left struggling to survive. With so many in need of basic necessities like food, clean water, clothing, and hygiene products, we knew we had to act quickly.
The Kindness Project 2024 encouraged people to bring donations to our showroom, and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of the community. A standout contribution came from the Tri-State Mustang/Ford Club of Greater Cincinnati, who donated more than $1,000 worth of supplies. Their support made a tremendous difference in the success of our relief effort, and we’re grateful for their commitment to helping others.
Supporting the Cause: Financial Donations and Community Support
In addition to physical items, we also provided the option for financial contributions. For those who were unable to donate goods, this was an excellent way to still make an impact. The funds raised were directed toward the Hendersonville, NC Government’s Hurricane Helene Relief Fund, ensuring that families in need could access the resources necessary for recovery.
The response from the community was nothing short of inspiring. Volunteers helped organize, pack, and load the collected goods, making sure everything was ready for the truck that would deliver the donations to North Carolina. It was a true community effort, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support.
Delivering Relief: The Final Step of the Journey
Once the donations were packed, the next step was driving the truck full of supplies to Hendersonville, where they were distributed to families affected by the hurricane. Witnessing the relief and gratitude from those receiving the goods was a powerful moment. It was a reminder of how important it is to come together in times of need and show compassion for others.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Everyone Involved

We want to extend a special thank you to everyone who helped make Kindness Project 2024 a success. From the support of EmPath For Autism to the generous donations from the Tri-State Mustang/Ford Club of Greater Cincinnati, this initiative would not have been possible without the help of so many individuals and organizations. We also want to thank everyone who donated, volunteered, and shared the word about our cause.
While Kindness Project 2024 has come to a close, we remain committed to supporting our community in every way possible. We are incredibly proud to have been part of this relief effort, and we look forward to continuing to help those in need in future projects.
Thank you for your incredible generosity and support.
